As with the blind optimism of an impromptu, liquor-fueled, Las Vegas wedding, New Years Eve is a time to blurt out annual vows to ourselves. Champagne bolsters our super-egos to loudly lay out our personal vulnerabilities as resolutions to improve ourselves; thus leaving our dehydrated, hung-over selves little choice but to slog through a few weeks of commitment before the inevitable annulment of vows. Gym memberships sour as our collective shame settles us back into our old patterns. Why do we follow this tradition of self-aggrandizing? Join Mat & Veronique as we quickly annul this sham of resolutions.
